Kirby Super Star
Kirby Super Star, known as Kirby's Fun Pak in PAL regions, is an anthology platform video game that first graced the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996. Developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, this delightful addition to the Kirby series offers a compilation of eight games. Within its charming pixelated world, players can delve into seven short subsections that share a common gameplay style, along with two engaging minigames. As its popularity soared, Kirby Super Star made its way to the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles. September 2017 marked the re-release of this enchanting title in Japan, the United States, and Europe, as part of the highly-acclaimed Super NES Classic Edition by Nintendo. Following this, on December 12, 2019, the game became available on the Nintendo Switch Online service, ensuring its accessibility to a wider audience. The success of Kirby Super Star led to an enhanced remake for the Nintendo DS, aptly named Kirby Super Star Ultra. This remake, released in 2008 and 2009, garnered both commercial and critical acclaim, with sales reaching impressive figures of just under 3 million copies sold.
